The CertiPUR-US® Certified comfort layers are made up of a ThermaPhase™ Gel-Infused comfort layer and an Air Flow Comfort layer. The combination of a stretchable embossed cover and a Gel-Infused comfort layer helps get your body closer to the contouring and temperature neutralizing sleeping surface.
ThermaPhase Gel™ Comfort Layer
The unique qualities of the ThermaPhase Gel™ technology create a temperature neutralizing sleeping surface that provides contouring support for your body. The open cell structure of the gel-infused comfort layer allows heat to be easily absorbed and distributed away to help maintain a more restful sleep.
The ThermaPhase Gel™ comfort layer comforts and supports while reducing pressure points to help increase blood circulation during rest. You can find ThermaPhase Gel™ inside the Elegance series models. Another common name for this type of comfort layer is Gel Infused.

Wireless Control
Our new generation of air control units have built-in Bluetooth to allow smartphone connectivity to the entire Personal Comfort sleep system (mattress and power base). There are a total of 45 personalized settings, per side, available to you. Sleep Number only has 20 unique comfort settings per side.

Ultra-Flex Air Chambers with Lock-Tight Rail System
The Ultra Flex™ air chamber can flex and contour better than a standard air chamber. Our air chambers come standard with female press fit connectors. Our kink-resistant hoses are made up of coil reinforced tubing. Each chamber supports up to 650 lbs.
Personal Comfort's air chambers are held together by containing them inside a lock-tight foam enclosure. The chambers maintain their independence, but they can’t move apart. That’s true personal comfort.
Stretchable Airlayer™
Personal Comfort mattresses that contain a center panel will have a Stretchable Airlayer™ fabric used to help circulate air within the mattress. This allows the mattress to be breathable inside to out which helps reduce the risk of moisture buildup inside the mattress. This woven stretchable material is custom made blend, designed specifically for the Personal Comfort bed.

Q: How long does it take for my order to ship and how is it delivered?
Mattress only orders may ship within 5 days. Mattress and adjustable base orders may ship within 10 days. Certain sizes and models may take longer to ship. Some accessories may ship separately and arrive before your new mattress.
Mattresses ship via FedEx Ground and after it ships it can take between 7 to 10 business days to arrive.
Mattresses orders that have in-home setup may take between 15 to 20 days to arrive.
Q: How do I operate the controller to find the best sleep setting for me?
Once your bed is initially inflated, adjust your sleep setting while laying in your preferred sleeping position, this helps ensure accuracy. There are 45 different settings per-side and they range from 5 to 50. 5 provides the lowest amount of support and is considered the plushest or softest setting. 50 provides the most support and is considered the most firm or hardest setting. To help you find your perfect sleep setting, start at the maximum setting of 50 and decrease the bed slightly softer than you would prefer and go back up until you reach your ideal comfort setting. It may take you a few nights before you find it. The remote has a dynamic real-time read out of the pressure inside the bed. This number will fluctuate when you get in and out of the mattress and when there are temperature or atmospheric changes. The most common sleep settings range between 15 to 25. If you are over 6’ tall and 200lbs we recommend a setting between 25-30.Â
Q: What is the 120-Night Risk-Free trial policy?
Visiting a mattress retailer often means going back and forth between mattresses, and even then, you can only try out each mattress for a few minutes. Personal Comfort bed sets a new standard for mattress shopping by allowing our customers to try-out the Personal Comfort smart bed for a full 120-nights. Your body may take up to 3-4 weeks before it adjusts to your new sleeping surface. If you have been tossing and turning at night it may take this long to retrain your brain, even on the new sleeping surface. For some, it may take longer, so that is why we offer a full 120-nights to try-out the Personal Comfort smart bed. If for whatever reason you’re not completely satisfied with your Personal Comfort mattress you may return it, for a full refund, making this truly a risk-free trial.
